I am Shirley Solomon, and I work as a dressmaker from my home in Stratton-St-Margaret, Swindon. I have run my dressmaking business since 2011, but I was sewing long before that. I started making clothes when I was 12, and over the years I have studied Fashion Design, Historical Heirlooms, Machine Embroidery, Pattern Cutting and Modelling on the dressform, as well as a range of other related subjects. It is a life-long passion for me.
The work I undertake includes both bespoke and alterations to a wide range of garments. These include Bridal, Prom Dresses, Special Occasion wear and Day wear for ladies, men and children. You may have a length of fabric which you would like to be made into a garment, but you do not know where to start. You want a garment which is custom fitted, or one that is unique to you which no-one else will ever have.
Whatever your dressmaking requirements, please contact me to discuss. I look forward to hearing from you.
