Chantelle was married in Rhodes, so she chose a light chiffon dress from a high street store which she then wanted altered to fit.  We adjusted the pleated drapes over her shoulders to make them lie flat, made the bodice fit and repaired the beading, and shortened the dress.  There is a long chiffon train which we had to loop up in a modified form of the bustle for the dancing.

The bridesmaids’ dresses were fitted – which came as a shock to some of them who normally wear looser fitting clothes with some stretch in the fabric.  Fit was very important in order to make the dresses look as they should.  Each lady had different fitting requirements, but as you see, the final result was beautiful.
