This garment was a real labour of love. The fabric is a beaded and embroidered wedding sari. The undergarment is a gold silk dupion which really is the framework on which the outer silk is built. The full length split skirt and the sash over the shoulder is reminiscent of a traditional sari. However, the final effect is a thoroughly modern garment for a Western lady, showcasing the beauty of the Eastern fabric.
