This suit was for a guest at a wedding.  The fabric used was a sari, so a considerable amount of time was spent choosing how to cut out the fabric in order to optimise the use of the pattern on different parts of sari.  The dress is a simple shift style and the jacket is a bolero inspired design.  Piping was used to define the edges of the features at the tops of the sleeves, round the jacket, at the top of the pattern piece at the hem and so on .  Pattern matching was a primary concern, both on the dress and the jacket .  The polyester fabric was fused with supersoft superior fusible interfacing in order to give it more body and reduce creasing.  Speed tailoring techniques were used where appropriate to ensure the jacket had the necessary structure.  The lining is cerise pink to add a splash of colour.  The outfit was worn with silver high heeled shoes.
